Car accident-how much will my insurance premium go up?

I was in a car accident today, driving the speed limit at about 30 miles per hour in a residential neighboorhood, not paying attention and struck the car to the left of me, damaging the driver's door of my car and the other car's passenger door. He was driving his company's truck. I already have an accident on my record from 1/06 that was my fault (not a huge accident, but not a super minor one, no injuries). I am a recent college grad working a job that does not offer me health insurance, and I receive excellent coverage under my parent's plan. Florida car insurance inquiry?

I'm 16 years old and going to be 17 in a week and a half. Tomorrow I am eligible to obtain my Florida's driver license (as I will have had my learner's permit for a year tomorrow). My mom objects to me obtaining my license because I do not have a job and therefore will be unable to help pay for insurance. However, my dad just brought to my attention that I only need to pay for car insurance if I own my car (which at the moment my mom and I would be sharing a car). Which of this true? Do I have to pay for any type of insurance once getting my driver's license? I am out of a job, (but still looking) but want to be able to drive this summer so I'm not stuck inside. How does this all work?

My fiance is in pain right now. Car Insurance Coverage and a DUI Question?

My daughter received a DUI a while back, as she put the car in 'Drive' (instead of 'Reverse') and drove through the side of a restaurant. (closed, thank God!...No people there) She refused the Breathalyzer, and was taken to the ER for about 7 hours. She was given a DUI. This car was titled, registered and insured by me- I am her mother. She is over 30 years old. The insurance has covered to fix the car, but the restaurant has retained an attorney. (I live in SC and have $100,000 property damage on the car) Yesterday, my insurance adjustor called to ask for a release of my daughter's medical records, so they could meet with the restaurant's attorneys and show that she was not drunk. Well, she was drunk, and my daughter's attorney has told me not to release that information, as it is a violation of her rights- she already refused the breathalyzer, etc.Also, she WAS drunk, and this would only release that information possibly to others. Please no rude comments about all of this- I get it! Question: Can my insurance company refuse to pay for my daughter's ER bill ($13,000) AND the property damage, AND whatever else- due to the fact that they are going to decide she was 'drunk.' ??? Is there any way to protect my assets? Specifics would be great, if you know them. Thanks.

Using a po box in license for cheap car insurance?

I live in the bronx but car insurance for me is like 660 a month... that's impossible to make... I wanted to go with Statefarm... I was using a po box in Yonkers, tuckahoe 20 mins away and it dropped to 220 a month with more then just liability coverage ... the po box isn't on the street it's a ups street address.. the guy told me people do it all the time but I just wanted to be sure.. does Statefarm ask for proof of address.... like bill of con Ed which Im only 17 btw.... I work so I was going to change my address on my check I receive to the Yonkers address and my debit card address also.. and ofcourse I was going to make that my address in my license.... I know brokers will give you insurance with any addres but will it be good the 6 months or will they contact me a month or so with asking for info abt my addres... will it work is the question if it's in on my license and I say that's where I live.. Should I be pestered to buy more insurance?

I have the current minimum coverage for auto insurance required by state. About 2 years ago I changed agents so that it is closer to me. At the time I was told how horrible my coverage is and for like $3 month I can get so much more. I just had a car problem and gave a towing bill my insurance covers.
